| dc.description.abstract | Characterization of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) progression to dementia has become a relevant field of research in the last two decades. Mainly, because MCI belongs to a prodromal stage of several conditions such as dementia. In the other hand, Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia and, until now, its causes and treatment are still unclear. Reason why understanding the patterns involved in progression from MCI to AD is a matter of importance. This work reports two years of research in the field of the progression from MCI to AD. The proposed approaches aim to find structural differences in a longitudinal study between a population of stable MCI subjects and MCI subjects with MCI who developed dementia. | spa |
| spa |
