dc.description.abstract | Este estudio se centra en la relación entre movilidad urbana y habitabilidad en Bogotá, Colombia, en un contexto de creciente urbanización. La investigación busca analizar las dinámicas de movilidad a través de indicadores construidos con información de libre acceso, con el objetivo de entender cómo estas se relacionan con las nociones de habitabilidad. La metodología contempló una revisión de literatura y de bases de libre acceso con los cuales se estimaron indicadores de movilidad, se empleó análisis de componentes principales y modelos de regresión lineal múltiple para examinar las relaciones entre movilidad y habitabilidad. Los resultados indican cambios entre 2019 y 2023. Las dimensiones de movilidad identificadas revelan interacciones complejas entre los indicadores y subrayan la importancia de considerar las condiciones socioeconómicas. Los modelos de regresión lineal se realizaron teniendo en cuenta el estrato socioeconómico y permitieron no solo identificar qué aspectos de movilidad resultan más relevantes para cada grupo socioeconómico desde la mirada de habitabilidad sino cómo la movilidad logra explicar en buena proporción los niveles de pobreza y calidad de vida en cuanto a que los desplazamientos no son un fin por sí mismos. dc.description.abstract | This study focuses on the relationship between urban mobility and livability in Bogotá, Colombia, within the context of increasing urbanization. The research aims to analyze mobility dynamics through indicators constructed using freely accessible information, with the goal of understanding how these relate to notions of livability. The methodology included a literature review and the use of freely accessible databases to estimate mobility indicators. Principal component analysis and multiple linear regression models were employed to examine the relationships between mobility and livability. The results indicate changes between 2019 and 2023. The identified dimensions of mobility reveal complex interactions among the indicators and highlight the importance of considering socioeconomic conditions. The linear regression models were conducted taking socioeconomic strata into account, allowing for the identification of which mobility aspects are most relevant for each socioeconomic group from a livability perspective. They also demonstrate how mobility has a significant impact on levels of poverty and quality of life, emphasizing that travel is not an end itself. Thus, the need for mobility strategies that not only improve infrastructure but also promote inclusive and quality access for all citizens is underscored, ensuring a fuller and more satisfying urban life. | eng |
