Abstract. Abstract. The "Anorthosites of the River Sevilla – El Palmor" Geochemically have subalkaline character with calc-alkaline trend, classified as gabbros and gabrodioritas. Geochemical behavior of major elements, trace elements and REE allowed to divide them into: 1) anortosíticos gneisses and anorthosites (genetically related) and 2) quartz mica gneisses and amphibolites (very similar to the rocks of the lower crust characteristics). It is determined that the anorthosites of Rio Sevilla-the Palmor correspond to anorthosites mass type of magmas generated by partial melting of the mantle, which rose as diapirs and were emplaced by injection into the crustal rocks represented here by gneisses quartz mica and amphibole.
