Capilla de nuestra señora de la candelaria, Sabaletas. Reconstrucción histórica. Siglos XVIII-XIX

Abstract

En encuentros regionales de Ciencias Sociales e Historia en el departamento de Antioquia, se identificó la necesidad de realizar investigaciones de historia regional y local, que ayuden a enriquecer la historia de la cultura antioqueña. En Colombia son muchos los lugares a los cuales se les otorgó el título de Monumento Nacional, por la importancia histórica para la humanidad y, en especial, para la construcción de identidad cultural. Los vecinos de los monumentos, en su mayoría, conocen historias fragmentadas de los acontecimientos ocurridos, lo cual impide el aprovechamiento y divulgación de la riqueza histórica que albergan. Es por esto, que se realizó la investigación: Capilla de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria de Sabaletas: Reconstrucción histórica, siglos XVIII y XIX. Se logró encontrar información sobre la historia del monumento, haciendo uso de fuentes primarias como archivos históricos y entrevistas a sus pobladores, además de consultar bibliografía seleccionada que ayudó a argumentar la investigación.

Abstract: In regional meetings of Social Sciences and History in the department of Antioquia, identified the need to conduct regional and local history research, which help enrich the history of Antioquia culture. In Colombia many places have been awarded the title of National Monument, for the historical importance for humanity and, especially, for the construction of cultural identity. The neighbors of the monuments, for the most part, know fragmented histories of the events that occurred, which prevents the exploitation and dissemination of the historical wealth they harbor. This is why the research was carried out: Chapel of Our Lady of the Candelaria de Sabaletas: Historical reconstruction, XVIII and XIX centuries. It was possible to find information on the history of the monument, making use of primary sources such as historical archives and interviews to its inhabitants, besides consulting selected bibliography that helped to argue the investigation.
