dc.description.abstract | El seguimiento, monitoreo y evaluación de indicadores sintéticos ha sido un elemento esencial que busca orientar las acciones tanto de las entidades públicas como privadas con el propósito de establecer intervenciones más eficientes de mejoramiento, como lo es el caso de los índices de calidad de vida. En principio, los esquemas metodológicos están enfocados en aspectos relacionados con sintetizar y consolidar instrumentos de medición donde hay avances y grandes retos, mientras que en un segundo plano parece que han quedado los elementos discutibles para el análisis y la evaluación de la eficiencia con la cual esas variables y factores interactúan con la calidad de vida. Este trabajo, propone un procedimiento con el método de Análisis Envolvente de Datos para evaluar la eficiencia, con enfoque productivo, de las variables y factores que determinan los resultados del Índice Multidimensional de Calidad de Vida, para el caso de la Ciudad de Medellín. A partir de allí, para cada una de las subdivisiones del área urbana y rural de la ciudad sometida a evaluación, los resultados sugieren que la combinación de variables de entrada y los puntajes de salida de las dimensiones del índice satisfacen la condición óptima de eficiencia técnica. dc.description.abstract | The follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of synthetic indicators has been an essential element that seeks to guide the actions of both public and private entities with the purpose of establishing more efficient interventions for improvement, as in the case of quality of life indexes. In principle, methodological schemes are focused on aspects related to synthesizing and consolidating measurement instruments where there are advances and great challenges, while in the background or in an absent manner it seems that the debatable elements for the analysis and evaluation of the efficiency with which these variables and factors interact with the quality of life have remained. This paper proposes a procedure with the Data Envelopment Analysis method to evaluate the efficiency, with a productive approach, of the variables and factors that determine the results of the Multidimensional Quality of Life Index, for the case of the City of Medellin. From there, for each of the subdivisions of the urban and rural area of the city under evaluation, the results suggest that the combination of input variables and the output scores of the dimensions of the index satisfy the optimal condition of technical efficiency. | eng |
