Resumen: La tesis se orienta al estudio de las formas de organización, la situación económica, la participación política y los procesos de instrucción de los artesanos de Pasto en el período 1896 - 1920, mediante fuentes documentales del Archivo Histórico de Pasto y dela prensa local.
Abstract: This research paper has been aimed to the study of the ways of organization, the economic condition, the participation in politics and the instruction process of the craftsmen in San Juan de Pasto from 1896 to 1920, by means of documentary sources taken from the historical archive and the local press.
