Resumen
Se elaboraron diez hojas de seguridad según los lineamientos del Sistema Globalmente Armonizado (SGA), para productos de la empresa Sika de Colombia. La evaluación de las fichas actuales de los productos evidenció la necesidad de realizar análisis fisicoquímicos, eco toxicológico y tóxico a los productos, ya que la información que proporcionan no cumple con los lineamientos del SGA. Se formuló una nueva metodología para la elaboración de las fichas de seguridad basados en la información del libro purpura y consultas a expertos internacionales, que permite la resolución de algunas inquietudes que surgen al elaborar las fichas y no están claras en la información disponible, permitiendo a las empresas del sector químico colombiano tener una herramienta para migrar sus hojas de seguridad al SGA.
Abstract. Ten sheets were drawn up along the lines of the Harmonized Globally System (GHS) for Sika de Colombia´s products. The assessment of current product´s sheets showed the need to make physicochemical, ecotoxicological and toxic analysis to the products, because the information provided does not meet the guidelines of the GHS. A new methodology about the elaboration of safety data sheets was formulated. It was based on the purple book´s information and consultations with international experts, which allows solving some concerns that arise to make the sheets and there are not clear in the information available, allowing to the chemical Colombian companies to have a tool to migrate his security sheets to GHS.
