Abstract. The SCPTu type is becoming an important tool for obtaining geomechanical parameters for the calculation of bearing capacity, settlement, and evaluation of liquefaction, particularly if they are located in geotechnical conditions where the extraction of undisturbed samples for laboratory tests is difficult. The methodology followed in this study is experimental and comparativa analysis type, which consisted of correlating the values of geotechnical parameters obtained by conventional methods of subsurface exploration and sampling, with those obtained in the boreholes with the piezocone veterinary building. Drilling results were consultad and they made for soil studies in buildings located within the campus of the National University with conventional rotating equipment, percussion and washed with obtaining undisturbed samples in thin-walled tubes type "shelby" and laboratory tests and in-situ. Then we proceeded to establish, by applying to the test correlations CPTu, the same soil geotechnical parameters were defined based on laboratory tests and field and perform the comparison of the results obtained. Finally examinad whether the relationship between variables from tests SCPTu and laboratory testing and in situ, exhibit a kind of linear relationship and equality, or if otherwise, between the variables there is no connection.
