Resumen
La Planta de Potabilización de Agua del Centro Agropecuario Marengo de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia se encuentra en un notable estado de deterioro físico, y la adición de insumos químicos se realiza ocasionalmente, por lo que los niveles de calidad del agua que produce son muy deficientes. De allí la preocupación por optimizar el proceso de potabilización. Para tal fin se realizó un diagnóstico técnico de la fuente de abastecimiento (Canal La Ramada) y de la planta de tratamiento existente. De acuerdo con las conclusiones de este estudio se plantearon alternativas de solución, cada alternativa fue estudiada y analizada con el fin de establecer la solución más viable técnica y económicamente.
Abstract. The Water Purification Plant of the Agricultural Center Marengo of the National University of Colombia is in a remarkable state of physical deterioration, and the addition of chemical inputs occasionally performed, so that the levels of water quality produce are very poor. Hence the concern to optimize the water treatment process. To this end, a technical diagnosis of the source of supply (Channel The Ramada) and the existing treatment plant was performed. According to the findings of this study alternative solutions they were proposed, each alternative was studied and analyzed in order to establish the most viable technical and economic solution.
