El trabajo analiza el desarrollo de la estructura fiscal de la República de Colombia entre 1819 y 1830 a través del estudio de las leyes fiscales, la correspondencia entre los encargados, la literatura anti fiscal, la prensa, los informes de las tesorerías y la reconstrucción de los niveles de ingreso y egreso de todos los departamentos que hicieron parte de la República. De la misma forma, la investigación presenta una estimación precisa de la deuda pública durante el periodo, acompañada de un completo anexo estadístico que muestra las condiciones de cada departamento en términos de ingreso, egreso y déficit. / Abstract. The work analyzes the development of the fiscal structure of the Republic of Colombia between 1819 and 1830 across the study of the fiscal laws, the correspondence between the managers, the literature anti fiscal, the press, the reports of the treasuries and the reconstruction of the levels of revenue and expenditure of all the departments that did part of the Republic. Of the same form, the investigation presents a precise estimation of the national debt during the period, accompanied of a complete statistical annexe that shows the conditions of every department in terms of revenue, expenditure and deficit.
