Resumen
Los tiempos del desencanto es un trabajo de historia cultural que estudia las emociones asociadas al desencanto de una comunidad de artistas, intelectuales, hombres cívicos y morales de la villa de Medellín a finales del siglo XIX (1896 - 1906). Esta investigación tiene como objetivos identificar las emociones vinculadas al choque entre lo ideal y la realidad que vivió y manifestó, de manera particular, la comunidad emocional estudiada; y principalmente determinar los cambios que este choque generó en el contexto cultural e histórico. Se demuestra, por lo tanto, cómo el desencanto en los miembros de esta comunidad les permitió entenderse y proyectarse a futuro. (tomado de la fuente)
Abstract
The Times of Disenchantment is a work on cultural history that studies the emotions associated with the disenchantment of a community of artists, intellectuals, civic and moral men from the town of Medellín at the end of the century (1896 - 1906). The objectives of this research were to identify the emotions linked with the clash between the ideal and the reality that the emotional community studied lived and manifested in a particular way, and mainly to determine the changes that this clash generated in the cultural and historical context. Therefore, it is demonstrated how the disenchantment in the members of this community allowed them to understand each other and project themselves into the future.
