This type of 3ancer involves a series of situations associated with uncertainty and survival times. Objective: To measure the effect of the psychoeducational intervention in the reduction of uncertainty levels in women survivors of breast 3ancer in a health institution in the city of Cali. Method: Longitudinal quasi-experimental quantitative approach study that included 98 breast cáncer survivors. They were randomly distributed into two groups, thus, the experimental group (EG) made up of 49 survivors who received the nursing intervention and the control group (CG) in which 49 survivors participated, who were followed up with the usual intervention. The intervention was developed in 6 sessions and consisted of sessions mediated by technologies on knowledge and coping strategies. The study was endorsed by the Ethics and Research Committees. Results: Profile of the participants of the CG and EG, at the beginning of the intervention: The average age was 54.3±12 years in the experimental group and 56.7±12 years in the control group, the women belonged to the contributory regime in both groups ( 57% experimental and 71% control, respectively). The women in the experimental group belonged to strata 2 (32.7%), while the majority of the women in the control group were concentrated in strata 2 (30.6%) and 3 (34.7%). In relation to the marital status, the most frequent in both groups was married/union. Regarding occupation, the majority of the experimental group were dedicated to the home or others, in a similar way it happened in the control group where 42.9% of the women were dedicated to the home or others and 28.6% to independent work. The intervention made it possible to reduce the levels of uncertainty in the intervention group. It is consolidated as an intervention to be had to be replicated in care contexts.eng
