This work intends to characterize the recording object in the context of three productions by Colombian heavy metal bands: Sacrilegio (Parabellum 1987), Millenium (Agony 1996) and Balística (La Pestilencia 2001). This characterization encompasses musical, sound and graphic analysis in order to reveal the construction of significant stylistic tropes within the musical genre and its subsequent deconstruction and re-presentation through the mediation of the production process of the recording work. Likewise, each case study offers particular contexts that allow the exploration of the interactions experienced by the actors involved, and, from their recognition, provide elements for the understanding of the dynamics that Colombian heavy metal musicians had when facing the task of validating their musical work through the prescription mechanisms of the recording industry.eng
