Resumen
Esta investigación, realizada en una institución educativa de Bogotá, exploró las situaciones que afectan la motivación escolar en adolescentes. Un enfoque cualitativo que empleó la investigación acción con la participación de estudiantes y docente se planteó que al permitir a los estudiantes experimentar un sentido de dominio y autonomía sobre sus aprendizajes y dinamizar la reflexión sobre los propósitos de su cotidianidad, se estimularía su motivación intrínseca. Esto, mediante la recolección en el aula de anécdotas y observaciones sobre situaciones que resultaron representativas. Los resultados obtenidos revelan que el entusiasmo docente y la creación y personalización de ambientes y experiencias educativas son elementos clave para despertar el interés y el compromiso. Se identificó dificultad para generalizar los resultados a otros contextos y la influencia de factores externos que escapan al control de la investigación. Finalmente, se resalta la importancia de flexibilizar el currículo considerando las perspectivas y actitudes de los estudiantes y el docente al diseñar intervenciones pedagógicas. Abstract
This research, carried out in an educational institution in Bogotá, explored the situations that
affect school motivation in adolescents. A qualitative approach that used action research with the
participation of students and teachers proposed that by allowing students to experience a sense of
mastery and autonomy over their learning and energizing reflection on the purposes of their actions
in everyday life, their intrinsic motivation. This, through the collection in the classroom of anecdotes
and observations about situations that were representative. The results obtained reveal that teaching
enthusiasm and the creation and personalization of educational environments and experiences are key
elements to awaken interest and commitment. Difficulty was identified in generalizing the results to
other contexts and the influence of external factors that are beyond the control of the research. Finally,
the importance of making the curriculum more flexible is highlighted, considering the perspectives
and attitudes of the students and the teacher when designing pedagogical interventions.
