Formulación y evaluación de posibles modelos de crecimiento del tránsito en la ciudad de Pereira en función de variables indirectas medibles

Abstract

El estudio que a continuación se presenta, es un análisis de lo que puede ser la obtención de las tasas de crecimiento en sitios donde no se cuenta con información histórica de conteos de transito vehicular sobre el proyecto a construir o intervenir. La modelación consiste en utilizar técnicas estadísticas y variables de tipo socioeconómicas en la región, las cuales reflejan comportamientos relacionados con el registro histórico del tránsito vehicular y que son periódicamente calculados o medidos para construir una base de datos y obtener la adecuación de un posible modelo que permita predecir el tránsito futuro en la ciudad de Pereira cuando no se tengan conteos. La presente formulación, se desarrolla bajo la premisa que el crecimiento del tránsito vehicular en la zona debe estar íntimamente ligado con ciertas variables socioeconómicas como son la población, el número de vehículos matriculados, el Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) departamental y posiblemente PIB Nacional, etc. Para la ciudad de Pereira se quiere determinar cuales variables independientes medibles afectan más el tránsito, es decir, de todas las variables propuestas en el estudio, algunas en conjunto tendrán una mayor representación respecto a los conteos que otras. Este trabajo se realizara en el marco de la investigación de la tesis doctoral que actualmente elabora el Ingeniero Francisco Javier García O, director de este trabajo de grado. / Abstract: This study is an analysis about the feasibility of obtaining growth rates in some regions where there is not available historical information of the counting about the project that is going to be built or supervised. The modulation consists of using statistical techniques and socioeconomic variables of the region, which show some behaviors related to the historical registration of the traffic and are constantly calculated or measured in order to build a data base and to obtain the adequacy of a possible model that allows to predict the future traffic in Pereira city when there are not available counting. This formulation is developed with the assumption that the growth of traffic must be strongly related with some socioeconomic variables such as population, the number of registered vehicles, the economic growth, the departmental GDP and possibly the national GDP, etc. To Pereira city, this study attempts to determine which are the measurable independent variables that affect more the current and the historical traffic, that is, some of the suggested variables in the study, compared to some others, will have a bigger representation in the counting in order to build a data base. This project will be made from the basis of the investigation of the doctoral thesis that is made by the Engineer Francisco Javier Garcia O, director of this project.
