Resumen
Abstract
The constant search for balance between work and personal demands has gained significant relevance in contemporary society. In this context, the legal sector emerges as a particularly challenging scenario due to the high professional demands and time-intensive nature of its operations. This paper delves into the intersection of these dynamics, exploring the incidence of billable hours in the work-life interaction within the legal sector. By applying the Work-Family Balance and Work-Family Interaction scales as a measurement tool and the theoretical perspective of Role Theory, this study aims to extract the connections between time spent at work as reflected by billable hours and the perception of work-life articulation in professionals belonging to the legal sector using descriptive statistical analysis, mean difference and structured equations for a sample of 185 legal professionals and 75 lawyers. The results aim to visualize not only the challenges faced by these professionals, but also to suggest new discussions from the business environment towards an appropriate and sustainable balance and enrichment between their work and personal responsibilities.
