dc.description.abstractLos modelos de negocio circulares son fundamentales para la implementación efectiva de la Economía Circular (EC) a nivel organizacional, ya que permiten transformar la forma en que las empresas crean, entregan y capturan valor, minimizando el desperdicio y maximizando la regeneración de recursos. Sin embargo, la transición hacia la EC está marcada por incertidumbres y depende tanto del contexto específico de cada organización como de las expectativas y requisitos de sus partes interesadas. Así, el Design Thinking (DT) emerge como un marco clave para impulsar esta transición, facilitando su integración mediante un enfoque incremental y centrado en los stakeholders. Además, la incertidumbre generada por los procesos de innovación hacia modelos circulares requiere que las empresas desarrollen capacidades de experimentación. Ante ello, el DT permite superar tal incertidumbre con el enfoque centrado en el usuario y la empatía; entonces, los empleados (cliente interno) aumentan su apertura al cambio y enfrentan el riesgo. Ocati, una empresa que produce y comercializa frutas y verduras, enfrenta el desafío de gestionar sus residuos orgánicos desde una perspectiva de circularidad, particularmente el capacho de uchuva. Para abordar esta problemática, se diseña un modelo de negocio circular orientado al aprovechamiento del capacho mediante 6 fases: análisis de la problemática (Empatizar), identificación de oportunidades (Definir), generación de ideas innovadoras (Idear), construcción del Canvas (Prototipar), validación experimental (Evaluar) y ajuste final del modelo (Alinear). Por tanto, este estudio cualitativo busca generar estrategias replicables en otros contextos latinoamericanos, contribuyendo a la sostenibilidad y la innovación centrada en el usuario. dc.description.abstractCircular business models are essential for the effective implementation of the Circular Economy (CE) at the organizational level. They enable companies to transform the way they create, deliver, and capture value, minimizing waste and maximizing resource regeneration. However, the transition to CE is marked by uncertainties and depends on both the specific context of each organization and the expectations and requirements of its stakeholders. Design Thinking emerges as a crucial framework for driving circular transitions, facilitating the integration of circular practices through an incremental and stakeholder-centered approach. Additionally, the uncertainty inherent in innovation processes toward circular models requires that companies develop experimentation capabilities. DT helps overcome this uncertainty with its user-centered and empathy-driven approach, allowing employees (internal clients) to increase their openness to change and willingness to take risks. Ocati is a company that produces and offers fruits and vegetables. It faces the challenge of managing its organic waste from a circularity perspective, particularly the goldenberry calyx. To address this issue, a circular business model proposal is developed to promote the valorization of the calyx. This process follows six phases: problem analysis (Empathize), identification of opportunities (Define), generation of innovative ideas (Ideate), Canvas development (Prototype), experimental validation (Test), and final model adjustment (Align).
