Este trabajo presenta los diferentes métodos existentes para el cálculo la desigualdad en salud, asociado con una variable del Nivel Socioeconómico de la población, así como las formulas y métodos para el cálculo de los errores estándar de dichas estimaciones. Esencialmente esta tesis se centra en un método específico, el desarrollado por Erreygers (2009a), quien propone una nueva medida de desigualdad y al que el autor de este trabajo le define las fórmulas para el cálculo de los errores estándar, y realiza su evaluación para datos simulados y reales.
Abstract. Inference on the Erreygers Generalized Health Concentration Index. This Thesis presents the different methods available for calculating health inequality, associated with a variable of socioeconomic level of the population, and the formulas and methods for calculating the standard errors of this estimation. Essentially this Thesis focuses on a specific method developed by Erreygers (2009a), who proposed a new measure of inequality, for this measure, the author of this work define the formulas for calculating standard errors, and performs its evaluation using both simulated data also reals.
