Efecto del cultivo de cobertura: Mucuna pruriens, en algunas propiedades físicas, químicas y biológicas de un suelo Typic Haplustalfs, cultivado con maíz (Zea Mays L.) en zona de ladera del municipio de Palmira, Valle

Abstract

Con el fin de evaluar el efecto de la leguminosa Mucuna pruriens como abono verde y cobertura muerta, sobre algunas propiedades de un suelo Typic Haplustalfs del Valle del Cauca y el rendimiento de maíz (Zea mays); se usó un diseño en bloques completos al azar con siete tratamientos y tres repeticiones: T1 (Testigo), T2 (abono verde), T3 (abono verde + 5 Mg.ha-1 de compost), T4 (abono verde + 250 kg.ha-1 de NPK 10-30-10), T5 (abono verde + 2.5 Mg.ha-1 de compost + 125 kg.ha-1 de NPK 10-30-10), T6 (cobertura muerta) y T7 (cobertura muerta + 2.5 Mg.ha-1 de compost + 125 kg.ha-1 de NPK 10-30-10). Las propiedades del suelo evaluadas fueron: C orgánico total, N total, N inorgánico, N mineralizable, Actividad biológica (CO2), C- biomasa microbiana y pérdidas de suelo. Se realizaron 3 muestreos (0, 65 y 220 días), para estimar la dinámica de las propiedades. La Actividad biológica (CO2), el C- biomasa microbiana, N inorgánico, N mineralizable y las pérdidas de suelo, no presentaron diferencias significativas entre tratamientos al final del experimento; el N total presentó un incremento significativo en los tratamientos T3 y T5, el C orgánico total se incrementó a los 220 días en los tratamientos T3, T5 y T7. Los mejores rendimientos de grano seco de maíz (Zea mays), se presentaron en los tratamientos T5 (7.0 Mg.ha-1), T7 (6.8 Mg.ha-1), T6 (6.5 Mg.ha-1) y T3 (6.5 Mg.ha-1); los cuáles se consideran altos teniendo en cuenta la región agroecológica donde fue realizado el ensayo.

//Abstract: The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effect of the legume Mucuna pruriens as green manure and death coverage, on some properties of a soil Typic Haplustalfs of Valle del Cauca and the yield of corn (Zea mays); a complex bloc design was used randomly with seven treatments and three repetitions : T1 (Witness), T2 (green fertilizer), T3 (green fertilizer + 5 Mg.ha-1 of compost), T4 (green fertilizer + 250 kg.ha-1 of NPK 10-30-10), T5 (green fertilizer + 2.5 Mg.ha-1 of compost + 125 kg.ha-1 de NPK 10-30-10), T6 (death coverage) y T7 (death coverage + 2.5 Mg.ha-1 of compost + 125 kg.ha-1 of NPK 10-30-10). The evaluated soil properties were: C total organic, N total, N inorganic, N mineral biological activity (CO2), C- microbial biomass and soil waste. Three samples were made (0, 65 and 220 days), in order to estimate the dynamic of the properties. The biological activity (CO2), the C- microbial biomass, N inorganic, N mineral and soil waste, did not show significant differences between treatments at the end of the experiment; the N total presented an significant increasement in the treatments T3 y T5, the total organic C presented increased after 220 days in the treatments T3, T5 y T7. The best yield of corn dry grain (Zea mays), were displayed in the treatments T5 (7.0 Mg.ha-1), T7 (6.8 Mg.ha-1), T6 (6.5 Mg.ha-1) and T3 (6.5 Mg.ha- 1); which are considered high considering the agroecological region were the research took place.
