Propuesta de recuperación estructural de un edificio

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es evaluar varias posibilidades de recuperación estructural de un edificio de uso residencial, localizado en la ciudad de Pereira, construido en mampostería, el cual sufrió serios daños a causa del sismo del 25 de enero de 1999. Durante el desarrollo se tiene en cuenta toda la información existente, las disposiciones de la norma sismorresistente NSR-98 y las contenidas en el estudio de microzonificación sísmica de Pereira. Se verifica en el análisis la gran incidencia que tiene este estudio de microzonificación en el diseño de edificios con el uso de pórticos, debido a que los factores exigidos, amplifican en gran medida la aceleración del suelo, haciendo que las secciones de los elementos del edificio se aumenten significativamente. Esta situación obliga a que en varias oportunidades se variará el modelo hasta lograr que cumpliera con la deriva máxima permisible, terminado el diseño en una recuperación mediante el “Sistema Estructural Combinado”. En este modelo los pórticos son responsables del 65% de la carga vertical y horizontal, mientras los muros existentes soportarán el resto de las cargas. Respecto de la cimentación para los pórticos, ésta es tratada por medio de la teoría “Interacción Suelo – Estructura”, usando zapatas continuas para cada uno de los pórticos responsables de las cargas verticales. / Abstract: The objective of this work is to evaluate several possibilities of structural recovery of a building of residential use, located in the city of Pereira, built in masonry, which suffered serious damages because of the earthquake of January 25, 1999. During the development one keeps in mind all the existent information, the dispositions of the seismic resistant norm NSR-98 and those contained in the study of seismic zone division of Pereira. It is verified in the analysis the great incidence that this study of zone division has in the design of buildings with the use of frames, because the demanded factors, amplify in great measure the acceleration of the floor, making that the sections of the elements of the building increase significantly. This situation forces in several opportunities to change the model until achieving the maximum permissible drift, finishing the design recorery by means of the “Combined Structural System” In this model, the frames are responsible for 65% of the vertical and horizontal load, while the existent masonry walls will support the rest of the loads. Regarding the foundation for the frames, this is treated by means of the theory “Interaction floor-structure”, using continuous foundation beams for each one of the frames responsible for the vertical loads.
