Análisis de las producciones intelectuales universitarias sobre educación musical, Colombia 2000 - 2010

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende acercar a los docentes del área de artística, específicamente de música, a los tipos de investigación que realizan los licenciados en música, su práctica y su coherencia con los planteamientos expuestos en los Lineamientos curriculares del área de artística emanados por el MEN en el año 2000, al interior de las instituciones educativas. Parte de las historia y las teorías que han desarrollado Europa, Estados Unidos y otras naciones, en materia de Educación musical, pasando por la posición que tomaron algunos países latinoamericanos, para llegar Colombia. Se realiza un ejercicio de investigación enmarcado en un estado del arte, donde se dan varias fases, desde seleccionar el material e identificar que las producciones intelectuales universitarias, son los documentos que permiten hacer este balance y acercamiento. De acuerdo a criterios explícitos, se identifican temáticas de estas investigaciones; nuevas perspectivas de investigación en educación musical y se llega a conclusiones como: - Después de diez años de emanados los lineamientos curriculares del Área de Educación Artística, se observa un porcentaje superior al 90% de los profesores de música, en proceso de formación y egresados, que no son ubicados con el respaldo que se requiere en un área tan decisiva en el crecimiento intelectual y en la sensibilidad hacia la vida, como lo es la educación artística. En otros casos, son ubicados en áreas distintas para “completar” las horas de las jornadas de trabajo o, al contrario, profesores de áreas distintas (de educación física, de sociales…) son asignados para dar clases en artes. This thesis tries to approach the teachers of the artistic area, specifically those of music, to the types of investigation done by those who are prepared in the pedagogy of music, their practice and also their coherence with the curricular guidelines of the area of artistic emanated by the MEN in 2000. It is of our interest to invite teachers to reflect on part of the history and the theories that Europe, the United States and other nations, have developed in the matter of musical Education, and also the educational decisions made in some Latin American countries, and Colombia as well. The emphasis of this investigation is based on a state-of-the-art, in several ways. The steps followed to make this balance are selecting the material and identifying university academic productions. According to explicit criteria, the thematic and perspective of this investigation in musical education is identified, and so we reach into conclusions like: - After ten years of circulation of the curricular guidelines in the Artistic education area, it is observed that a percentage higher than 90% of the music teachers, in formation process and the ones already graduated, are not hired with the required support in a so decisive area for the intellectual growth and sensitive towards life, as artistic education is. In other cases, teachers are employed in different areas for “completing” the hours of the place of work and there are even teachers of other subjects (physical education, social sciences) who are assigned to give arts classes.
