Las etapas están representadas por los conceptos teóricos “reconocerse diferente”, “resignificar la existencia” y “sentirse renovado y fortalecido en la insuficiencia cardiaca”. dc.description.abstractMiddle-aged adults experience transitions during the early stage of heart failure diagnosis, which have not been fully described. These transitions arise from the interaction between individuals and their environment. Objective: to develop a theoretical framework of the transitions experienced by middle-aged adults from the moment of heart failure diagnosis and over the following twelve months. Design: A qualitative study based on Corbin and Strauss's grounded theory, using longitudinal data analysis through the 4C model. Twelve semi-structured interviews were conducted with middle-aged adults living with heart failure. Conclusions: The study presents the theoretical framework "Transformation to Make Sense of Life with Heart Failure," describing the transition process over the first twelve months of the disease. Three main stages are identified: "experiencing a sick body," "reinterpreting self and daily life," and "constructing a renewed sense of living with heart failure." Participants gradually adjust their daily routines, reinterpret their existence, and focus on living differently, ultimately finding meaning and empowerment in life with heart failure. The stages are represented by the concepts of "recognizing oneself as different," "reinterpreting existence," and "feeling renewed and empowered."eng
