dc.description.abstract | Aplicación del Value Stream Macro Mapping (VSMM), en una empresa de manufactura cerrada con producción discreta. Caso aplicado en una empresa de fabricación de transformadores de distribución eléctrica. En la presente tesis se pretende aplicar el Macro Mapeo de la Cadena de Valor (VSMM), en una empresa de manufactura cerrada con producción discreta como una herramienta válida para mejorar los procesos al interior de una empresa de fabricación de transformadores de distribución eléctrica. El VSMM tiene sus bases en la metodología LEAN, de ahí la importancia de resaltar en los primeros capítulos de esta tesis las principales herramientas de dicha metodología, pues son base fundamental en el desarrollo de esta. Información relevante sobre Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Justo a Tiempo (J.I.T.), Kaizen, Andon, SMED, las 5’s, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, Hoshin Kanri entre otras será suministrada. Se continúa por dar definiciones importantes sobre VSM y resaltar la gran importancia del VSMM como herramienta vital que permite identificar desperdicios, posibilidades de mejora y en general obtener una radiografía del proceso productivo al interior de una planta de manufactura. Se concluye el marco teórico con el estado del arte del Value Stream Macro Mapping (VSMM) mostrando casos reales aplicados a empresas con sistemas y situaciones de producción muy similares a los encontrados en Rymel, haciendo especial énfasis en las bondades de llevar a cabo el desarrollo del VSMM al interior de las mismas, permitiendo grandes mejoras en productividad, mejoramiento de costos, reducción de inventarios, mejoramiento de la cadena de suministros; que son tópicos donde la empresa de transformadores Rymel se puede beneficiar altamente y donde en el pasado se han identificados oportunidades de mejora. Más adelante, se hará una descripción detallada sobre la metodología para llevar a cabo la implementación del mapeo de valor y el mapeo de valor extendido, (VSM y VSMM). Continuando con la realización de los respectivos mapas de valor en las diferentes secciones de la empresa. Posteriormente, se mostrará el análisis de los resultados obtenidos y se llevará a cabo el desarrollo de los mapas de valor futuro, los cuales tienen en cuenta todos aquellos aspectos y/o posibilidades de mejora las cuales son implementados mediante eventos Kaizen, lecciones de un punto (LUP´s), SMED’s, Poka Yoke´s, JIT´s, desarrollo de proveedores, entre otros. El motivo para la realización de esta tesis, es debido a que la empresa caso de estudio requiere de modelos de manufactura lean y mapeos de valor (VSM) a la medida (Taylor made si se gusta), pues el sistema de producción, el comportamiento del mercado, los especial de los componentes usados en su fabricación, los altos tiempos para la entrega de las materias primas, el alto costo de las mismas junto con la gran afectación que estas tienen sobre los inventarios y la gran variabilidad de los productos ofrecidos por la empresa; dificultan replicar metodologías estándar/comerciales que evidencien posibilidades de optimización de la producción, los procesos y los costos de producción entre otros. dc.description.abstract | Application of Value Stream Macro Mapping (VSMM), in a closed manufacturing company with discrete production. Case applied in an electrical distribution transformer manufacturing company. This thesis aims to apply Value Stream Macro Mapping (VSMM) in a closed manufacturing company with discrete production as a valid tool to improve the processes within a manufacturing company of electrical distribution transformers. The VSMM is based on the LEAN methodology, hence the importance of highlighting in the first chapters of this thesis the main tools of this methodology, as they are the fundamental basis for the development of this methodology. Relevant information about Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Just in Time (J.I.T.), Kaizen, Andon, SMED, the 5's, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, Hoshin Kanri among others will be provided. It continues by giving important definitions about VSM and highlighting the great importance of VSMM as a vital tool that allows to identify waste, improvement possibilities and in general to obtain an in-depth view of the productive process inside a manufacturing plant. The theoretical framework concludes with the state of the art of Value Stream Macro Mapping (VSMM) showing real cases applied to companies with systems and production situations very similar to those found in Rymel, with special emphasis on the benefits of carrying out the development of VSMM within them, allowing great improvements in productivity, cost improvement, inventory reduction, improvement of the supply chain; which are topics where the transformer company Rymel can benefit highly and where in the past opportunities for improvement have been identified. Later on, a detailed description will be made on the methodology to carry out the implementation of value mapping and extended value mapping (VSM and VSMM). Continuing with the realization of the respective value maps in the different sections of the company. Subsequently, the analysis of the results obtained will be shown and the development of future value maps will be carried out, which take into account all those aspects and/or improvement possibilities which are implemented through Kaizen events, lessons from a point (LUP's), SMED's, Poka Yoke's, JIT's, supplier development, among others. The reason for the realization of this thesis, is because the case study company requires lean manufacturing models and value stream mapping (VSM) to measure (Taylor made if you like), because the production system, market behavior, the special of the components used in their manufacture, the high delivery times for raw materials, the high cost of them along with the great impact they have on inventories and the great variability of the products offered by the company; make it difficult to replicate standard/commercial methodologies that show possibilities of optimizing production, processes and production costs, among others. | eng |
