Resumen
Este trabajo cuyo objetivo es diseñar una propuesta metodológica que contribuya a la enseñanza del pensamiento variacional en las funciones polinómicas de variable real a través de modelos matemáticos, centrándose básicamente las funciones lineal y cuadrática, desde el uso de los referentes teóricos planteados por la modelación matemática, enseñanza para la comprensión situaciones problema y aprendizaje significativo y teniendo como referente disciplinar el concepto de variación, antes de la construcción de la propuesta se analizaron los resultados de la prueba diagnóstico y las encuestas, se realizó una intervención para detectar lo que ocurría al trabajar sobre las dificultades de los estudiantes y se realizó una propuesta metodológica consiste en un proyecto de aula que aborde dichas funciones y permita al estudiante utilizar el lenguaje matemático para realizar conjeturas, construir modelos y tomar decisiones.
