La semiótica visual y los lineamientos curriculares de educación artística y la enseñanza del diseño gráfico en el colegio Ciudad de Bogotá I.E.D.

Abstract

Este trabajo de tesis tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre los Lineamientos Curriculares de Educación Artística, en su apartado sobre la enseñanza del diseño gráfico en los niveles de Básica y Media, y la malla curricular de la Intensificación en Diseño, del Colegio Ciudad de Bogotá I.E.D. Se exploró hasta qué punto y de qué manera la semiótica visual hace presencia en estos documentos. Se realizó una investigación de carácter documental que intentó reconstruir históricamente la enseñanza artística en Colombia, concretamente en su organización curricular y metodológica, observando una transformación de un pensum utilitarista a uno que brinda al estudiante herramientas para ejercer la libertad de expresión. Durante la exploración documental se encontraron conflictos entre la reglamentación gubernamental, la propuesta curricular del colegio y la visión que tienen los estudiantes de grado 11 de la jornada tarde sobre la oferta académica de la institución, dándolo a conocer a través de una entrevista informal. En los Lineamientos Curriculares de Educación Artística, el concepto de semiótica visual se menciona tácitamente, pero se pone de manifiesto en los planes de estudio, los cuales invitan al reconocimiento del mundo de la imagen y del símbolo, proponen al docente la búsqueda de herramientas adecuadas para que el estudiante explore, conozca y produzca signos con idoneidad (con dominio).

The purpose of this thesis was to analyse the relation between Curricular Guidelines of Artistic Education in its section of graphic design on the teaching of graphic design in the levels of Basic and Media, and the scheme of work of the Intensification in Design of the School City of Bogotá IED, exploring to what extent and in what way visual semiotics is present in these documents. A documentary investigation was carried out which tried to reconstruct historically the artistic education in Colombia, concretely in its curricular and methodological organization, observing a transformation from a utilitarian curriculum to a one that gives the student tools to exercise the freedom of expression. During the documentary exploration, conflicts were found between the government regulations, the curricular proposal of the school and the vision that eleventh graders´ from the afternoon session have about the academic offer of the institution, publishing through an informal interview. In the Curricular Guidelines of Artistic Education, the concept of visual semiotics is tacitly mentioned, but it becomes evident in the curricula, which call for the recognition of the world of image and symbol, inviting the teacher to search for student’s suitable tools to explore, know and manage the sign with awareness, (with knowledge) of the way in which images reconfigure their world constantly, finding in visual semiotics a fundamental tool for such graphic interpretation.
