dc.description.abstract | En las fincas cacaoteras de la microcuenca Rio Doncello se llevaron a cabo la caracterización de los sistemas finca cacaotera en torno al conocimiento local que tienen los cacaocultores acerca de las chinches verdaderas del cacao Monalonion spp.; determinación de la identidad taxonómica de la chinche verdadera M. dissimulatum; reconocimiento de la composición taxonómica de las chinches depredadoras de M. dissimulatum de la tribu Harpactorini; establecimiento de la identidad taxonómica de un parasitoide de M. dissimulatum de la tribu Chaetostrichini; evaluación de la interacción existente entre la estructura de los agroecosistemas de cacao, la comunidad de chinches depredadoras Harpactorini, la población de un parasitoide de la tribu Chaetostrichini y la población de la plaga M. dissimulatum; y se realizó una propuesta educativa en torno al reconocimiento de los enemigos naturales y la conservación del control biológico natural ejercido por las chinches depredadoras Harpactorini y un parasitoide de la tribu Chaetostrichini sobre las poblaciones del carpófago M. dissimulatum. dc.description.abstract | In the cocoa farms of the microcuenca Rio Doncello, characterization of the cocoa farm systems was carried out around the local knowledge that cacao farmers have about the true bugs Monalonion spp.; determination of the taxonomic identity of the true bugs of the cacao M. dissimulatum; recognition of the taxonomic composition of the predatory bugs of M. dissimulatum of the tribe Harpactorini; establishment of the taxonomic identity of a parasitoid of M. dissimulatum of the tribe Chaetostrichini; evaluation of the interaction between the structure of cacao agroecosystems, the community of predatory bugs Harpactorini, the population of a parsitoid of the tribe Chaetostrichini and the population of the pest M. dissimulatum; and an educational proposal was elaborated regarding the recognition of natural enemies and the conservation of the natural biological control excercised by the predatory bugs Harpactorini and a parasitoid of the tribe Chaetostrichini on the populations of the capophagous M. dissimulatum. dc.description.methods | En el Capítulo I se realiza la caracterización y la tipificación de 45 fincas cacaoteras, mediante una herramienta que incluye 132 ítems para recolección de información relacionada con condiciones biopsicosociales, hábitat y socioeconomía y saberes de cacaocultores acerca de las chinches verdaderas Monalonion. Se concluye que, los cacaocultores no reconocen los elementos naturales y de producción enterrelacionados con el daño por carpofagia realizado por Monalonion spp. En el Capítulo II se presenta el estudio anatómico de los estados de huevo, ninfa (cinco ínstares) y adultos (macho y hembra) de la chinche verdadera M. dissimulatum. La descripción realizada permite a cacaocultores, técnicos e investigadores la separación de los individuos de M. dissimulatum, en cualquiera de los estados de desarrollo, de otras especies fitófagas presentes en los agroecosistemas cacaoteros. En el Capítulo III se realizó muestreo de chinches depredadoras Harpactorini en 51 agroecosistemas cacaoteros. Las chinches depredadoras halladas corresponden a los géneros Acantischium, Arilus, Atrachelus, Castolus, Cosmoclopius, Debilia, Graptocleptes, Heza, Hiranetis, Montina, Notocyrtus, Orbella, Repipta, Ricolla, Rocconota, Sinea y Zelus. Debilia y Heza presentan alta riqueza y abundancia en los agroecosistemas cacaoteros. En el Capítulo IV se presenta el hallazgo de una nueva especie de avispita parasitoide (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) para la ciencia. Los individuos de Uscanoidea ricoi son parasitoides de huevos de la chinche verdadera M. dissimulatum, con alto potencial de uso en el control biológico del carpófago en los agroecosistemas cacaoteros de la región Neotropical. En el Capítulo V se correlacionan variables de la estructura de los agroecosistemas cacaoteros con la comunidad de chinches depredadoras Harpactorini, población del parasitoide Uscanoidea ricoi y la población del carpófago M. dissimulatum. A partir de cinco modelos de análisis, se concluye que la copa de los árboles de cacao y el número de individuos de chinches depredadoras presentan relaciones significativas con la variable número de piquetes del carpófago. En el Capítulo VI se presentan los estilos de aprendizaje de 45 cacaocultores de la microcuenca Rio Doncello y se presenta una propuesta de innovación rural con metodologías pedagógicas basadas en el juego.
