dc.description.abstractEste trabajo final de maestría tiene como objetivo proponer una red de transporte multimodal para reducir los costos logísticos y el tiempo de exportación de café verde desde los departamentos del Huila, Tolima y Caldas hacia los puertos de New York, Charleston y Oakland en Estados Unidos, teniendo en cuenta la infraestructura existente. Para alcanzar este propósito se estudia la red de transporte desde su estructura, los agentes que intervienen en los procesos y los problemas de planeación de redes de transporte multimodal. Finalmente, se obtienen amplios resultados que permiten la toma de decisiones desde el aspecto táctico en la determinación del flujo a través de la red de transporte multimodal, así como la selección de proveedores y modos de transporte. dc.description.abstractThis thesis aims to propose a multimodal transport network to reduce logistics costs and time for exporting green coffee from the states of Huila, Tolima, and Caldas to the ports of New York, Charleston, and Oakland in the United States considering the existing infrastructure. To achieve this purpose, the transport network is studied from its structure, the agents involved in the processes and the planning problems of multimodal transport networks. Finally, extensive results are obtained that allow decision-making from the tactical aspect in determining the flow through the multimodal transport network, as well as the selection of suppliers and modes of transport.eng
