This master thesis is an ethnographic exploration of two co-design workshops between Wayúu weavers-designers and industrial designers that were organized in the framework of an agreement between the Fundación Caminos de Identidad and the Pontifical Xaverian University of Bogotá in 2019. Each workshop lasted one week and was spaced six months apart from the next. This research, both descriptive and speculative, aims to provide a Science and Technology Studies view on the differences that emerge between kinds of knowledge. It also points to new relationships between actants in a supply chain of crafts in Colombia. My approach proposes contact zones between taskscapes as a way to describe how words, practices involving bodies, concepts and materials are translated. All these elements and their relationships are described in the first chapter, while in the second chapter I describe the risks and opportunities of these places of translation and contact zones. Finally, I make a synthesis of the concepts that I have developed during the ethnographical process and propose an understanding of co-design as a form of political ontology that should tend towards regenerative forms of design and, therefore, towards the contamination that allows all those involved to change by participating.spa
