The development of the brain depends on the effect of the multiple factors such as genetic endowment and environment; therefore, put limits on the senses may affect the results over the neurodevelopment (Burns et al., 1994). Multisensory stimulation strategy has shown multiplebenefits and that is the reason why this initiative starts with the purpose of training nurses who be part of the team working in the “Programa Madre Canguro” belong to the institution “Fundación Canguro” located at the Hospital San José Infantil headquarter in Bogotá, this way, they may include this strategy in educational practices usually give them to the families. The main objective will be to complete a training to the nurses about multisensory stimulation strategy (ATVV) using some audio and video material as a pedagogical resource which will let them introduce the practices into the usual sessions to the families being part ofthe program. During the course of the internship, we achieved to identify some people only knowsthe benefits of the therapy related to the massage or tactile stimulation to premature babies, nevertheless, they did not have theoretical basis and then, they did not apply the completedmultisensory stimulation strategy (ATVV). After this first diagnosis, we consider the pedagogical material in video and audio were very important to the training given to the nursing team, it let them to know all of the details about the correct techniques, timing andapplying related to the ATVV strategy | eng |
