dc.description.abstractEste trabajo final de maestría de profundización se desarrolla alrededor del concepto general de estrategia dando alcance a otros conceptos como medición, consumo masivo y UEN como Unidades Estratégicas de Negocio. Se escogió como método de investigación el caso de estudio, aplicándolo a una empresa colombiana con amplia trayectoria en el sector de consumo masivo, que cumplía con los parámetros de la investigación, esta empresa es Diana Alimentos que es una de las UEN del Grupo Diana. Se inicia describiendo la empresa, el entorno del sector de consumo masivo, las variables del mercado y que el cliente tiene en cuenta para la decisión de la compra, además de las variables internas que pueden afectar la disponibilidad del producto. Es allí donde se identifica el problema base de la investigación relacionado con la falta de un conjunto de métricas ajustadas al negocio que estén incorporadas en un marco de medición para hacer el seguimiento al desempeño de la estrategia en la empresa. Se continua con la revisión de la literatura en diferentes bases de datos, acotando la búsqueda a las palabras claves y lo publicado en los últimos años en artículos, libros y revistas especializadas, donde se observa algunas metodologías y marcos de medición que se han utilizado en diferentes sectores de la economía, pero que no son del todo aplicables en el caso de estudio, por las características propias de las empresas de consumo masivo y los factores diferenciadores que se deben utilizar para incentivar el consumo de sus productos que son de alta demanda. Como principales resultados de este trabajo están: la identificación desde la teoría de los métodos y herramientas de medición de desempeño de la estrategia aplicables a empresas de consumo masivo, el análisis de la información cualitativa recolectada de Diana Alimentos y la propuesta de un marco de medición con las métricas seleccionadas por expertos; que pueden permitir el seguimiento al desempeño de la estrategia en empresas de consumo masivo. dc.description.abstractThis final master's degree work is developed around the general concept of strategy, giving scope to other concepts such as measurement, mass consumption and SBUs as Strategic Business Units. The case study was chosen as the research method, applying it to a Colombian company with extensive experience in the mass consumption sector, which met the parameters of the research, this company is Diana Alimentos, which is one of the SBUs of the Diana Group. It begins by describing the company, the environment of the mass consumption sector, the market variables that the customer takes into account when making the purchase decision, in addition to the internal variables that may affect the availability of the product. This is where the basic problem of the research is identified, related to the lack of a set of metrics adjusted to the business that are incorporated into a measurement framework to monitor the performance of the strategy in the company. The review of the literature in different databases continues, limiting the search to keywords and what has been published in recent years in articles, books and specialized magazines, where some methodologies and measurement frameworks that have been used in different sectors of the economy are reviewed, but which are not entirely applicable in the case study, due to the characteristics of mass consumption companies and the differentiating factors that must be used to encourage the consumption of their products that are in high demand. The main results of this work are: the identification from the theory of the methods and tools for measuring strategy performance applicable to mass consumption companies, the qualitative information collected from Diana Alimentos and the proposal of a measurement framework with the metrics selected by experts; that can allow monitoring the performance of the strategy in mass consumption companies.eng
