Abstract. Amador’s index description is made which consists of an index that quantifies the lateralization and height of the femoral head in post pelvic x-ray in patients with Legg-Calve-Perthes with unilateral involvement, in order to help diagnosis of disease and to define the time of a possible surgery. The normal range of rates for the age groups were identified: 3-6 years, 7-10 years and 11-15 years in healthy hips and pathological values for height and laterality were determined in Legg-Calve Perthes hips affected and the measurements obtained with other classifications monitoring and prognosis correlated. 63 radiographs of patients were analyzed. Multicenter study. According to the results, one might consider a rate higher to 0.71 lateralization is pathological. Regarding the epiphyseal collapse height index greater than 0.49, indicating a high pathological loss.
