Metodología sistemática de selección de mercados internacionales: una aplicación comparativa de modelos de análisis multicriterio híbridos

dc.description.abstractLa globalización ha influido significativamente en el papel determinante que juegan las organizaciones en la búsqueda y conquista de nuevos mercados internacionales. En este contexto, el presente estudio ha desarrollado una metodología comparativa y sistemática para la selección de mercados internacionales mediante el uso de modelos de análisis multicriterio híbridos. Dicha metodología se aplicó a una muestra de 21 empresas dedicadas a la exportación de productos de papel. Para llevar a cabo la comparación de los modelos multicriterio, se utilizaron coeficientes de correlación no paramétricos, y se implementó el método de conteo Borda para determinar los mercados internacionales más convenientes para el sector. Los resultados obtenidos revelaron que los empresarios del sector papelero enfocan sus prioridades de selección de mercados hacia los costos (37,71%) y la logística (36,08%), destacando la importancia de sub-factores relacionados con costos en aduanas y fronteras, tiempo de tránsito, frecuencia y costo de transporte internacional. Asimismo, los resultados de la comparación de modelos demostraron que los enfoques de Evaluación Basada en la Distancia a la Solución Media (EDAS) y Modelo de Suma Ponderada (WSM) obtuvieron los mejores resultados frente al problema planteado. Por último, los resultados obtenidos de los modelos agrupados revelaron que los mercados de Países Bajos, Reino Unido, Bélgica, Alemania y Austria presentaron las mayores similitudes con las necesidades de los empresarios del sector. Estos mercados identificados representan nuevas y prometedoras oportunidades para los empresarios, y se espera que este estudio contribuya como referente en su campo, mejorando la toma de decisiones para aquellos dedicados al sector de papel y cartón. dc.description.abstractGlobalization has significantly influenced the decisive role played by organizations in the search for and conquest of new international markets. In this context, this study has developed a comparative and systematic methodology for the selection of international markets through the use of hybrid multicriteria analysis models. This methodology was applied to a sample of 21 companies dedicated to the export of paper products. To carry out the comparison of the multi-criteria models, non-parametric correlation coefficients were used, and the Borda counting method was implemented to determine the most convenient international markets for the sector. The results obtained revealed that entrepreneurs in the paper sector focus their market selection priorities on costs (37.71%) and logistics (36.08%), highlighting the importance of sub-factors related to customs and border costs, transit time, frequency, and cost of international transportation. Likewise, the results of the model comparison showed that Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) and Weighted Sum Model (WSM) approaches obtained the best results for the problem posed. Finally, the results obtained from the clustered models revealed that the markets of the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, and Austria presented the greatest similarities with the needs of the sector's entrepreneurs. These identified markets represent new and promising opportunities for entrepreneurs, and it is expected that this study will contribute as a reference in its field, improving decision making for those dedicated to the paper and cardboard sector.eng
