Estandarización de inventarios de la empresa CDEM and CDEB S.A.

Abstract

El interés de este estudio se centra en la necesidad de una estandarización en el manejo de inventarios de mangueras, acoples y bandas trasportadoras de la empresa CDEM and CDEB S.A; de acuerdo con sus políticas de mejoramiento. Lo anterior, dado que en la actualidad no se cuenta con un manejo óptimo de estos inventarios, que permitan a las directrices tomar las decisiones adecuadas. La metodología consiste en primer lugar en retomar de la literatura los modelos empleados en diferentes compañías para la administración de sus inventarios; así como los supuestos que sustentan dichos modelos; en segundo se procede a tomar los consumos, ingresos y existencias de mangueras, acoples y bandas trasportadoras correspondientes al año 2008, cuyas referencias presenten movimientos históricos mayores a 20 meses; mediante el Sistema de Información Empresarial – UNO. Posteriormente, se analiza por medio de herramientas estadísticas los niveles de inventario (máximos, puntos de pedido y mínimos) que arroja el sistema, a fin de determinar un comportamiento de los mismos. Finalmente, se determina la cantidad óptima de inventario y su estandarización. De lo anterior, se llega a la conclusión de que CDEM and CDEB S.A. administra sus inventarios teniendo en cuenta dos modelos diferentes dependiendo de la tipología de sus proveedores (nacionales y extranjeros), sin embargo es desarrollado de forma empírica. Adicionalmente, se recomienda estandarizar los niveles de inventario utilizando la media móvil siempre y cuando la serie de consumo no presente puntos atípicos. / Abstract: The aim of this study focuses on the necessity of standardization on the inventory managing of hoses, connects and belt conveyor of the company CDEM and CDEB S.A; in agreement with their policies of improvement. That is because at the present the company does not have optimum managing of these inventories, that they should allow the directives to take the suitable decisions. The methodology consists first of all in taking from the literature the models used in different companies for the administration of theirs inventories; as well as the suppositions that the above mentioned models sustain; Later one it proceeds to take the consumptions, income and stock of hoses, connects and belt conveyor corresponding to the year 2008, which references present historical movements bigger than 20 months by means of the System of Managerial Information - UNO. Later, It is analyzed by means of statistical tools the inventory levels (maximums, points of order and minimal) that throws the system, in order to determine a behavior of the same ones. Finally, it is determined the optimum quantity of inventory and its standardization. Of the previous study, it is concluded that CDEM and CDEB S.A. administers their inventories bearing in mind two different models depending on the typology of their suppliers (national and international), nevertheless it is developed of empirical form. Additional, it is recommended to standardize the inventory levels using the mobile average, whenever the series of consumption does not present atypical points.
