Estrategias integrales para Fintech tipo Lending en el Eje Cafetero : Abordando desafíos de escalabilidad

dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación tiene como objetivo plantear enfoques estratégicos integrales que permitan a las Fintech de tipo Lending originarias del Eje Cafetero Colombiano (Caldas, Quindío y Risaralda) escalar de manera sostenible mientras mantienen niveles controlados de riesgo crediticio. Para lograrlo, se adoptó una metodología mixta que integró encuestas dirigidas a establecimientos comerciales y entrevistas a fundadores de las Fintech. Ambos conjuntos de datos fueron codificados a través de un sistema unificado de categorías, lo que permitió el análisis comparativo de las percepciones entre ambas partes mediante tablas cruzadas. Los resultados revelaron diferencias significativas entre las Fintech y los establecimientos comerciales en la percepción de valor y riesgo crediticio. Para los establecimientos comerciales, los principales incentivos para adoptar créditos digitales son la rapidez y la facilidad en la aprobación, mientras que las Fintech destacan la diversificación de productos financieros y la mejora de la experiencia del usuario como elementos clave. Respecto al riesgo crediticio, los comercios identifican el sobreendeudamiento y los incumplimientos de pago como sus mayores preocupaciones, mientras que las Fintech se enfocan en la detección de fraudes y el monitoreo de cambios en la información de los usuarios. Estas discrepancias resaltan la importancia de estrategias colaborativas que integren ambas visiones para lograr un crecimiento sostenible. La investigación concluye que equilibrar escalabilidad y gestión del riesgo no es solo un reto operativo, sino también un imperativo estratégico. dc.description.abstract | This research aims to propose holistic strategic approaches that enable Lending Fintechs originating from Colombia’s Eje Cafetero region (Caldas, Quindío, and Risaralda) to scale sustainably while maintaining controlled levels of credit risk. To achieve this, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, integrating surveys targeted at commercial establishments and interviews with Fintech founders. Both data sets were coded using a unified category system, facilitating a comparative analysis of perceptions between the two stakeholders through cross-tabulations. The findings revealed significant differences between Fintechs and commercial establishments in their perceptions of value and credit risk. For commercial establishments, the primary determinants for adopting digital credit solutions are speed and ease of approval, whereas Fintechs emphasize the diversification of financial products and enhancement of user experience as critical elements. Regarding credit risk, commercial establishments cite over-indebtedness and payment defaults as their main concerns, while Fintechs prioritize fraud detection and monitoring changes in user information. These discrepancies highlight the necessity of collaborative strategies that align both perspectives to achieve sustainable growth. The study concludes that balancing scalability and risk management is not merely an operational challenge but a strategic imperative.
