This study presents the relationship between saccadic movements (MS) and fixations in a 2D virtual environment with sports performance, in Colombian pre-youth tennis players. Methods: a group of players of advanced ranking and another of intermediate ranking (according to the registry of the Colombian Tennis Federation), faced to make visualizations of a red dot on a black screen in a 2D virtual environment. For this, two undetermined and two predetermined activities were carried out in the same time intervals (300 and 500 milliseconds), with horizontal and vertical movements of the mobile. Results: The study variables were the amount and time of the fixations and the MS in each of the tasks per measurement group. The analyzed data were the averages, the standard deviations of the amounts of fixations; from these values the MS were inferred. A t test was also carried out that allowed us to find a level of significance p <0.5 for two of the four activities within the protocol, a fact that ratified the best performance of advanced players compared to intermediate players in their averages and dispersion of fixations. Conclusions: the players of the advanced group showed faster MS and an oculomotor pattern with less dispersion of the fixations, thus indicating greater orthophoria with respect to their intermediate pairs.spa
