Resumen
El aprendizaje significativo es un proceso necesario en educación, que actualmente necesita incluir las TIC ya que los estudiantes viven en un mundo donde estas son de uso cotidiano. Investigaciones recientes demuestran que la genética es una de las ramas de la biología cuyo aprendizaje presenta más dificultades para los alumnos. Debido a esto, se plantea ¿Cómo favorecer el aprendizaje significativo de los conceptos básicos de la genética a través de una estrategia didáctica mediada por las TIC? En este trabajo, el objetivo fue diseñar una estrategia didáctica virtual para el aprendizaje de conceptos básicos de genética, utilizando un videojuego desarrollado en la plataforma ERUDITO de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Los estudiantes estuvieron interesados en el tema con esta estrategia; el curso GENÉTICA Y SUPERHÉROES posibilito mostrar a los alumnos diferentes materiales, ayudando a enriquecer sus conocimientos y contribuyendo a mejorar el proceso de aprendizaje.
Abstract: Significant learning is a necessary process in education, which nowadays needs to include ICT since students live in a world where they are of daily use. Previous research shows that genetics is one of the subjects of biology whose learning presents more difficulties for students. Because of this, it is proposed: How to favor the significant learning of the basic concepts of genetics through a didactic strategy mediated by the ICT? In this research, the objective was to design a virtual didactic strategy for the learning with basic concepts of genetics, using a video game developed on the ERUDITO platform of Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The students were interested in the subject with this strategy; the GENETICS AND SUPERHEROES subject made it possible to show the students different and more striking materials, helping to enrich their knowledge and contributing to improve the learning process.
