dc.description.abstractLa familia Aristolochiaceae está representada en la Flora de Colombia por e! género Aristolochia. En este trabajo se estudian las 27 especies presentes en el país; además,con base en estudios tipológicos tanto de las regiones vegetativas como repro­ ductivas de estas especies,se cuestiona la sistemática de Aristolochia sect. Gymnolo­ bus subsect. Hexandrae y se propone un nuevo tratamiento para este taxon,consistente en las series Thyrsicae y Hexandrae, esta última constituída a la vez por las subseries Hexandrae y Anthocaulicae.
