Aproximación al tiempo en el cuento hispanoamericano: antología

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación tiene como propósito, por un lado desentrañar las posibilidades o alternativas que encuentra la narrativa, especialmente el cuento hispanoamericano, para experimentar con la temporalidad. Y, por otro, elaborar una antología del cuento hispanoamericano en la que el criterio principal sea una estructuración particular del tiempo. Este trabajo se divide en cuatro capítulos. En el primero se expone una reflexión sobre las posibilidades que ofrece la antología para hacer historia y crítica de la literatura. En el segundo capítulo se elabora una reflexión historiográfica sobre la forma como las antologías del cuento hispanoamericano construyen un canon literario alrededor del género, con el fin de evidenciar que los enfoques de la temporalidad presentes en la narrativa son un factor influyente en el itinerario acogido por el cuento. En el último capítulo se expone la propuesta antológica, en la que se incluyen obras y autores que también son influyentes dentro de la historia del género y que plantean un tratamiento del tiempo diferente a una concepción lineal.

Abstract. The purpose of this research work is to unveil the possibilities or alternatives in which the narrative, specially focused on Hispano-American short stories, experiments with the temporality. On the other hand, another purpose was to build an anthology of the Hispano-American short stories taking into account those with a special time structure. This work is divided in four chapters. The first one presents a reflection about the possibilities the anthology has to make history and literary criticism. The second chapter elaborates a reflection on the historiography of the way the anthologies of the Hispano-American short stories have built a literary canon around the gender; the objective is to demonstrate that the different ways in which the temporality presents the narrative are an influential factor in the route that the Hispano-American short stories embraced. Finally, the last chapter presents a proposal of anthology, in which plays and authors have been included; taking into account their influence among the history of the gender, and the different treatment of the time from the traditional lineal conception of it.
