Estructura urbana integradora entre el Humedal Jaboque y el barrio La Riviera - Bogotá

Abstract

Los alrededores del humedal Jaboque ubicado al occidente de la localidad de Engativá, históricamente ha formado parte de la estructura ecológica principal de Bogotá, siendo uno de los cuerpos hídricos con mayor extensión del territorio, pero a raíz de múltiples procesos de ocupación tanto de asentamientos informales como de expansiones de la ciudad, se ha olvidado la importancia de este ecosistema y sus funciones, y se han generado conflictos entre las estructuras natural y construida, en sectores como el barrio La Riviera, manifestándose en inundaciones , rellenos inadecuados, contaminación, la reducción progresiva del área del cuerpo de agua , baja calidad espacial de los barrios que rodean el humedal, así como diferentes problemáticas sociales. Así, este Trabajo Final de Maestría se fundamenta en comprender los procesos naturales de los cuerpos de agua y su entorno inmediato, teniendo un acercamiento a su estado inicial; para así identificar las alteraciones que han sucedido a lo largo del tiempo y los conflictos que se generaron. Para finalmente proponer una intervención que, desde el diseño urbano mediante los principios de activar, equilibrar, adaptar, transición y limitar; así lograr la re-naturalización del borde del humedal y articulación con el sistema construido que lo circunda, con el fin de generar un equilibrio, basado en la integración de la ciudad construida con el medio ambiente. The environments of the Jaboque wetland located west of the town of Engativá, historically has been part of the main ecological structure of Bogotá, being one of the water bodies with the largest extension in the territory, but as a result of multiple processes of occupation of both informal settlements as of expansions of the city, the importance of this ecosystem and its functions have been forgotten, and conflicts have been generated between the natural and built structures, in sectors such as the La Riviera neighborhood, manifesting itself in floods, inadequate fillings, pollution, reduction progressive area of the body of water, low spatial quality of the neighborhoods that surround the wetland, as well as different social problems. Thus, this Final Master's Work is based on understanding the natural processes of bodies of water and their immediate surroundings, having an approach to their initial state; In order to identify the changes that have occurred over time and the conflicts that were generated. To finally propose an intervention that from urban design through the principles of activating, balancig, adapting, transitioning and limiting; in this way i will achieves the renaturalization of the edge of the wetland and articulation with the built system that surrounds it, in order to generate a balance, based on the integration of the built city with the environment.
