Resumen
En respuesta a la necesidad de implementar estrategias que mitiguen los efectos ambientales negativos del turismo y su infraestructura en el Parque Nacional Natural Corales del Rosario y San Bernardo (PNN CR-SB), este documento propone una identificación de impactos potenciales y una serie de alternativas y recomendaciones para un turismo sostenible y socialmente responsable.
El objetivo de este estudio es identificar y evaluar el impacto ambiental acumulado por la infraestructura turística y hotelera en el PNN CR-SB. Para lograrlo, se ha aplicado la metodología de Redes Complejas, que permite valorar los impactos ambientales ligados a las actividades turísticas.
Esta aproximación no solo identifica las implicaciones del desarrollo turístico en el entorno natural, sino que también propone alternativas y recomendaciones, contribuyendo al equilibrio entre la actividad turística, la salud del entorno marino, y su preservación para las futuras generaciones.
En el PNN CR-SB, la infraestructura turística ha generado impactos significativos, como la disminución del sentido de pertenencia de la comunidad local, asentamientos no planificados, cambios en tradiciones, aumento de conflictos y pérdida de la cultura tradicional.
Para mitigar estos efectos, se proponen alternativas como la limitación de la capacidad de carga, regulación efectiva, educación ambiental, colaboración con la comunidad local, y manejo de residuos. Abstract
In response to the need to implement strategies that mitigate the negative environmental effects of tourism and its infrastructure in the Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo National Natural Park (PNN CR-SB), this document proposes an identification of potential impacts and a series of alternatives. and recommendations for sustainable and socially responsible tourism.
The objective of this study is to identify and evaluate the accumulated environmental impact of the tourism and hotel infrastructure in the PNN CR-SB. To achieve this, the Complex Networks methodology has been applied, which allows assessing the environmental impacts linked to tourist activities.
This approach not only identifies the implications of tourism development on the natural environment, but also proposes alternatives and recommendations. It aims to contribute to the balance between tourist activity and the health of the marine environment, guaranteeing its preservation for future generations.
In the PNN CR-SB, tourism infrastructure has generated significant impacts, such as a decrease in the sense of belonging of the local community, unplanned settlements, changes in traditions, increased conflicts and loss of traditional culture.
To mitigate these effects, alternatives are proposed such as limiting the carrying capacity, effective regulation, environmental education, collaboration with the local community, and waste management. These measures seek to promote the balance between tourism development and the conservation of cultural and natural heritage.
