Introduction: The hypoxia present at different altitudes affects sports performance and, on occasions, health in both athletes and healthy people. Depending on the individual susceptibility linked to sensitivity to hypoxia, there are different pathophysiological effects described in the literature. It is known that, by means of a sensitivity test of ventilatory and cardiac variables, the predictive power against acute mountain sickness (AMS) pathologies increases; in this way, strong associations of performance parameters were established. It is intended to test whether by reducing the times of the phases, comparable results are obtained that allow to maintain comparable results to optimize it to be used in athletes and detect susceptibility to exposure to hypoxia. Materials and methods: Comparative correlational and concordance study of 12 non-athlete subjects from a database that carried out two types of tests carried out at the Sports Science Center of the Ministry of Sport, a conventional test to predict AMS with a duration of 16 minutes (PC) and a shortened 10-minute test (PA). Results: The variables that turn out to be more relevant for the diagnosis of AMS were selected to be compared between the two tests. 1) Difference in Saturation in exercise r= 0.7832 between PC vs BP (strong correlation); p= 0.0026, 2) Ventilatory response in exercise r= 0.6849 (moderate correlation); p= 0.0140, 3) Cardiac Response Index during exercise r= 0.6495 (moderate correlation); p= 0.023, In addition to all this, the variables present good individual agreement but not average by Bland-Altman analysis. Discussion and conclusions: The results obtained during the AP are correlated and present individual concordance but not average with those obtained for the CP, the latter being of greater importance to suggest performing the short test in athletes, although they were not controlled some environmental parameters and the physical state of the subject, when performing the test, individual correlations and concordances are presented that allow it to be applied by controlling these variables or the potential to carry out a new study that takes them into account and that can improve these measures.spa
