Despite its significance, information of the causal agent, epidemiology, and disease status in Colombia is not well documented, hampering management tools. The main objective of this research was to determine the spatial-temporal dynamics and the impact of EM associated with Verticillium at micro and meso-scales in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. To achieve this, plant material was collected for the isolation and characterization of the causal agent. Edaphoclimatic information and regional production system data were compiled. The incidence and severity of EM were monitored at the plot level, and at the end of the crop cycle, tubers were harvested to assess yield and quality parameters. Classic temporal models of the disease progress curve were evaluated, and at the spatial level, point pattern analysis and geostatistics were implemented. As a result, Verticillium spp. was identified as the causal agent, and five pathogen morphotypes were found. EM had a prevalence of 28.6% in Cundinamarca, with presence in all evaluated provinces, and it was associated with regional epidemiological parameters such as soil movement by machinery and continuous planting cycles. The spatial-temporal analyses indicated that EM exhibited a spatial pattern of aggregation or randomness, and the disease progress curve was best represented by the logistic model. The production per-plant was reduced by 24 to 46% in weight due to the disease, affecting the quantity of tubers in the zero and first quality categories. Our work suggests that the pathogen is established within the conditions of the production system in Cundinamarca and could be a limiting factor for potato crop production. Ingléseng
