Las Ruinas de la Ferrería: un referente de identidad para la resignificación del patrimonio cultural en Pacho

Abstract

Resignificar la importancia de las Ruinas de la Ferrería de Pacho en la memoria e identidad del municipio y sus habitantes implicó la recopilación bibliográfica que comprueba la riqueza histórica hasta el momento en que cerró el complejo industrial. La elaboración de este estudio de caso de la Ferrería fue el medio para obtener la información existente sobre el objeto de investigación, el cual se conformó de un estudio histórico del inmueble, sus valores e importancia como patrimonio cultural industrial, y la visión de los habitantes acerca las ruinas de la Ferrería, en relación con la memoria y la identidad local. La actual carencia de interés por este lugar es la razón por la que se encuentra desplazado en la identidad e imaginario de sus habitantes. Sin embargo, su declaratoria como bien de interés cultural nacional impulsó la presentación de las propuestas incluidas en esta investigación para conservar y exaltar su valor patrimonial, en el aspecto social, educativo y político proponiéndolo como un nuevo referente de identidad y orgullo. Resignifying the importance of the Pacho Foundry Ruins in the memory and identity of the municipality of Pacho and its inhabitants involved the bibliographic compilation that proves the historical richness until the moment in which the industrial complex was closed. The elaboration of this case study of the Foundry was the means to obtain the existing information about the research object, which was based on a historical study of this immovable heritage, its values and importance as industrial cultural heritage, and the vision of the inhabitants about the Foundry Ruins, in relation to the memory and the local identity. The current lack of interest in this place is the reason why it is displaced in the identity and popular consciousness of its inhabitants. However, its declaration as a good of national cultural interest prompted the presentation of the proposals included in this research to preserve and enhance its heritage value, in the social, educational and political aspects, proposing it as a new reference of identity and pride.
