dc.description.abstractLa ciénaga de Zapatosa, en el departamento del Cesar, es una región de vocación citrícola donde los pequeños productores enfrentan altos costos logísticos y baja asociatividad. Este trabajo de grado propone una estrategia colaborativa para la reducción de costos logísticos en la cadena de suministro de cítricos, desarrollada mediante un enfoque cuantitativo y participativo En el marco del proyecto ECORZA de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, se aplicaron encuestas a productores para caracterizar la situación actual, se utilizó el método de Proceso Analítico Jerárquico (AHP) para priorizar prácticas logísticas colaborativas, y se implementaron simulaciones en FlexSim para evaluar el impacto operativo de dichas prácticas. A partir de este análisis, se seleccionaron dos estrategias principales: la gestión colaborativa del transporte y el almacenamiento compartido. Se compararon dos escenarios: uno basado en el modelo actual de operación individual, y otro basado en un modelo colaborativo gestionado por una asociación. Los resultados de la simulación mostraron una reducción del 25 % en los costos logísticos totales, destacando disminuciones significativas en transporte y almacenamiento. Además, se observó una mejora en la eficiencia operativa y el aprovechamiento de la infraestructura local. Estos hallazgos evidencian que las prácticas logísticas colaborativas pueden generar beneficios económicos concretos para los productores rurales cuando son estructuradas estratégicamente. El trabajo también resalta el papel central de la asociatividad como palanca para fortalecer la sostenibilidad y viabilidad de las cadenas productivas agroalimentarias. dc.description.abstractThe Ciénaga de Zapatosa, located in the department of Cesar, is a region with a strong citrus production vocation, where small-scale producers face high logistical costs and low levels of associativity.This work proposes a collaborative strategy for reducing logistics costs in the citrus supply chain, developed through a quantitative and participatory approach. Within the framework of the ECORZA project at the National University of Colombia, surveys were conducted with producers to characterize the current situation. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to prioritize collaborative logistics practices, and FlexSim simulations were implemented to assess their operational impact. Based on this analysis, two main strategies were selected: collaborative transportation management and shared storage. Two scenarios were compared: one based on the current individual operation model, and another based on a collaborative model managed through an association. The simulation results showed a 25% reduction in total logistics costs, with significant decreases in transportation and storage expenses. Additionally, improvements were observed in operational efficiency and the utilization of local infrastructure. These findings demonstrate that collaborative logistics practices can yield concrete economic benefits for rural producers when strategically structured. This study also highlights the central role of associativity as a key lever to strengthen the sustainability and viability of agro-food supply chains.eng
