dc.description.abstractLa relación entre las tecnologías de la información (TI) y la estrategia del negocio es un tema que ocupa los primeros lugares de interés tanto para los empresarios como para los académicos. Más aún en un contexto en el que los desarrollos e innovaciones tecnológicas toman cada día más relevancia, impactando de manera significativa los comportamientos de las organizaciones, así como la aparición de nuevos modelos negocios con base digital, estructuras en rojo, gestión de procesos mediados por TI. Es así como se evidencia que necesita de lograr el ajuste entre la estrategia y las SI / TI es importante para todo tipo de organizaciones. Sin embargo, en este trabajo le prestamos atención a un tipo de organización en particular, la universidad. Debido a su naturaleza e importancia por el impacto social que tiene tanto en docencia, como en investigación y en el relacionamiento con la comunidad. En tal sentido, esta investigación se concentró en comprender y explicar ¿cómo se configura la brecha entre la estrategia y los SI / TI ?, a partir del reconocimiento del fenómeno social en el marco de una organización como la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, que, por su naturaleza como institución pública, estructura, tamaño, alcance nacional y diferentes tipologías de usuarios, entre otras variables, resulta de interés al ser un sistema con un alto de grado de complejidad. dc.description.abstractThe relationship between information technologies (IT) and business strategy is a topic that occupies the first places of interest for both businessmen and academics. Even more so in a context in which technological developments and innovations are becoming increasingly relevant, significantly impacting the behaviour of organisations, as well as the emergence of new business models with a digital base, networked structures and IT-mediated process management. It is thus evident that the need to achieve the fit between strategy and IS/IT is important for all types of organisations. However, in this paper we pay attention to one type of organisation in particular, the university. Due to its nature and importance for the social impact it has in teaching, research and community relations. In this sense, this research focused on understanding and explaining how the gap between strategy and IS/IT is configured, based on the recognition of the social phenomenon in the framework of an organisation such as the National University of Colombia, which, due to its nature as a public institution, structure, size, national scope and different types of users, among other variables, is of interest as it is a system with a high degree of complexity.eng

dc.description.methodsPara responder a la pregunta de investigación se seleccionó el paradigma del realismo crítico, con sus posturas epistemológicas, ontológicas y metodológicas. Para luego presentar los fundamentos del diseño metodológico a partir de la multi-metodología, considerando tres aspectos constitutivos del dominio del problema: personal, social y material y cuatro actividades generales de una intervención: reconocimiento, análisis, evaluación y acción, dentro del contexto del paradigma. Posteriormente, se abordarán los fundamentos del estudio de caso como estrategia de investigación que permite profundizar en la comprensión, descripción y análisis de las unidades de interés. Se podría decir que desde esta perspectiva se estudia la particularidad y la complejidad de un caso singular (Stake, 1978).
