dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo final de maestría estudia las experiencias de viaje en el Sistema Integrado de Transporte Masivo (SITM) de Barranquilla, analizando cómo están determinadas por la infraestructura, el entorno urbano y factores identitarios, sociales, económicos y culturales. El objetivo principal es comprender la configuración de violencias invisibilizadas en el espacio urbano a través de estas experiencias. Se ha adoptado un enfoque multidisciplinario, utilizando métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos, incluyendo etnografía móvil, cuestionarios y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Centrándose en el área metropolitana de Barranquilla, caracterizada por su intensa conurbación e interdependencia con sus territorios aledaños, la investigación incluye una muestra diversa, aunque limitada, de usuarios del SITM. Se analizan las experiencias de viaje desde la movilidad como objeto y se considera la justicia en la movilidad como el enfoque de este estudio. Los hallazgos revelan que las experiencias de viaje en Barranquilla están profundamente influenciadas por elementos más allá de la infraestructura física, incluyendo aspectos socioeconómicos y culturales. Se identifican patrones de exclusión y segregación, lo que plantea desafíos significativos para la gobernanza y la planificación urbana. El estudio concluye con recomendaciones dirigidas al gobierno urbano para promover la inclusión, justicia y sostenibilidad en la movilidad urbana, destacando la necesidad de integrar una variedad de experiencias y necesidades de los ciudadanos en la planificación urbana. dc.description.abstract | This master's thesis investigates the travel experiences within Barranquilla's Integrated Mass Transit System (SITM), analyzing how they are shaped by infrastructure, urban environment, and identity, social, economic, and cultural factors. The main aim is to understand the formation of invisible violences in urban spaces through these experiences. A multidisciplinary approach has been adopted, utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods, including mobile ethnography, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. Focusing on the metropolitan area of Barranquilla, known for its intense conurbation and interdependence with surrounding territories, the research includes a diverse yet limited sample of SITM users. The study examines travel experiences with a focus on urban mobility as the object and considers justice in mobility as the approach of this study. Findings reveal that travel experiences in Barranquilla are deeply influenced by elements beyond physical infrastructure, encompassing socioeconomic and cultural aspects. Patterns of exclusion and segregation are identified, posing significant challenges for governance and urban planning. The study concludes with recommendations for the urban government to promote inclusion, justice, and sustainability in urban mobility, emphasizing the need to integrate a variety of citizen experiences and needs into urban planning. | eng |
