The information is obtained from a sample taken from four companies in the service sector in Colombia. first, the study is based on a literature review where the main modalities and types of flexible work are identified, as well as their main theories, benefits, and negative consequences that their access implies. Second, this study applies a qualitative and quantitative method for data collection and analysis; where these data were examined and compared through a structural model in which the factors were classified according to the levels represented by the ecological systems theory. Finally, the results conclude that sociodemographic aspects, such as gender, place of residence and family aspect or even vehicular mobility influence the employee to choose between the work modality over where to work, in other words, a flexibility of the workplace and the flexible hours mode or Flextime. Therefore, guidelines and recommendations are presented to implement a flexible work arrangement that facilitates business decision-making through a negotiation model between employer and employee.eng
