dc.description.abstract | La mineralización aurífera de El Gran Porvenir se encuentra en la Cordillera Central de Los Andes colombianos, emplazada en esquistos grafitosos del Complejo Cajamarca, y consta principalmente de vetas de cuarzo y sulfuros como galena, esfalerita, pirita, calcopirita y pirrotina. Con la intención de clasificar el yacimiento, se realizó microtermometría e isotopía de S y Pb-Pb. Por medio de la microtermometría se pudo establecer que la temperatura de formación de la mineralización oscila entre los 243°C y 348°C. El fluido mineralizante está compuesto por H2O, CO2, N2, CH4 y su sistema salino es de NaCl, KCl con una salinidad promedio de 8,6 wt% NaCl. Los resultados de δ34S sugieren una génesis metamórfica o sedimentaria para los sulfuros con valores entre los -4,1 y -11 ‰. Resultados similares se encontraron en los isótopos de Pb, los cuales arrojan una fuente heterogénea, asociada a orógenos con aportes importantes de la corteza superior. dc.description.abstract | The gold mineralization at El Gran Porvenir Mine is in the Central Mountain Range of the Colombian Andes, located in graphitic schists of the Cajamarca Complex, and consists mainly of quartz veins and sulfides such as galena, sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. In order to classify the deposit, microthermometry and S and Pb-Pb isotopies were performed. By means of the microthermometry it was possible to establish that the mineralization formation temperature oscillates between 243°C and 348°C. The mineralizing fluid is composed of H2O, CO2, N2, CH4 and its salt system is NaCl, KCl with an average salinity of 8.6 wt% NaCl. The δ34S results suggest a metamorphic or sedimentary genesis for the sulfides with values between -4.1 and -11 ‰. Similar results were found for Pb isotopes, which yield a heterogeneous source, associated with orogens with important contributions from the upper crust. The analyses performed and the geological context allow us to classify the El Gran Porvenir Mine as an orogenic gold deposit. | eng |
