| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación explora el rol de los laboratorios universitarios dentro del ecosistema de innovación, con el propósito de proponer un modelo de gestión para los laboratorios de la Facultad de Minas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. El estudio empleó un enfoque metodológico mixto, de tipo aplicado y descriptivo-propositivo, que combinó revisión bibliográfica, diagnóstico mediante encuestas estructuradas y entrevistas semiestructuradas a actores clave. Se recopilaron 38 respuestas válidas: 22 de laboratorios de la Facultad de Minas, 6 de otras sedes de la UNAL y 10 de universidades externas. El instrumento abordó siete dimensiones críticas: infraestructura, digitalización, vinculación con el entorno productivo, interconexión entre laboratorios, gestión de recursos, automatización y aseguramiento de resultados. A partir del análisis de la información se identificaron factores clave que inciden en la articulación de los laboratorios con el ecosistema de innovación. El modelo propuesto integra estos factores en una estructura compuesta por siete dimensiones funcionales, tres niveles de gestión (estratégico, táctico y operativo) y mecanismos de vinculación con actores internos y externos. La validación cualitativa del modelo con expertos institucionales confirmó su pertinencia, aplicabilidad y valor agregado. El aporte diferencial de esta propuesta radica en su articulación coherente con los marcos internacionales ISO 56002:2019 (gestión de la innovación) e ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (competencia técnica de laboratorios), adaptados a las condiciones organizacionales de la Facultad de Minas. | dc.description.abstract | This research explores the role of university laboratories within the innovation ecosystem, aiming to propose a management model tailored for the laboratories of the Facultad de Minas at the National University of Colombia. The study followed a mixed-methods approach, applied and descriptive-propositional in nature, combining a comprehensive literature review, structured surveys, and semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders. A total of 38 valid responses were collected: 22 from laboratories at the Facultad de Minas, 6 from other UNAL campuses, and 10 from external universities. The survey addressed seven critical dimensions: infrastructure, digitalization, engagement with the productive sector, inter-laboratory collaboration, resource management, automation, and results assurance. Based on the analysis, key factors were identified that either enable or hinder the integration of laboratories into the innovation ecosystem. The proposed model integrates these factors into a structure composed of seven functional dimensions, three levels of management (strategic, tactical, and operational), and mechanisms to enhance coordination with internal and external actors. Validation of the model through expert interviews confirmed its relevance, applicability, and value-added contribution. A distinctive feature of this proposal is its coherent alignment with international frameworks—ISO 56002:2019 (Innovation Management) and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Technical Competence of Laboratories)—adapted to the institutional context of the Facultad de Minas. | dc.description.methods | La presente investigación se desarrolla bajo un enfoque cualitativo con elementos de investigación aplicada (Baimyrzaeva, 2018), orientado al diseño y validación de un modelo de gestión para laboratorios universitarios, con base en su rol dentro del ecosistema de innovación. La metodología adoptada responde a las pautas del método científico y se articula con el ciclo PHVA (Planear – Hacer – Verificar – Actuar), lo cual permite estructurar un proceso sistemático y reflexivo para el cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados. En este marco, la investigación parte de la identificación de una necesidad: fortalecer el rol estratégico de los laboratorios universitarios en los ecosistemas de innovación. Desde allí, se propone una hipótesis o planteamiento de solución, que es contrastado a través de la recolección, análisis y validación de información, con el fin de sustentar el modelo propuesto y formular conclusiones pertinentes. La metodología se desarrolla en cinco etapas principales, que incluyen actividades específicas, recursos requeridos, resultados esperados y productos finales. Esta estructura permite orientar y gestionar eficientemente el desarrollo de la investigación, garantizando coherencia entre las fases del proceso y los objetivos del estudio. Las etapas definidas son: 1. Apropiación de conocimiento: Revisión de literatura, análisis del estado del arte y estudio de referentes teóricos y empíricos sobre ecosistemas de innovación y gestión de laboratorios universitarios. 2. Identificación de factores y componentes clave: Análisis de datos obtenidos mediante encuestas y entrevistas, con el fin de reconocer los elementos fundamentales para el fortalecimiento del rol de los laboratorios en el ecosistema de innovación. 3. Diseño del modelo de gestión: Construcción del modelo de gestión para laboratorios, fundamentado en los hallazgos anteriores y orientado a potenciar su contribución al ecosistema de innovación. 4. Validación del modelo: Aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas a actores clave (dirección de laboratorios y coordinadores), con el fin de evaluar la pertinencia, aplicabilidad y valor del modelo propuesto. 5.
