dc.description.abstract | En estudios de oncología humana se han realizado diversos estudios que enfocados en reducir la variación entre patólogos en estudios interobservadores al momento de evaluar neoplasias, para reducir la subjetividad y generar resultados que logren ser reproducidos en diferentes estudios y correlacionarse con la clínica del paciente; sin embargo, en medicina veterinaria, son pocos los estudios que proponen protocolos para la evaluación de neoplasias, que puedan relacionarse con el pronóstico de los pacientes. Entre estos tumores se encuentran el Mastocitoma canino, así como el sarcoma de tejidos blandos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo proponer protocolos de evaluación para aportar a la estandarización macroscópica y microscópica de evaluación de tumores en caninos, realizando una revisión de literatura sobre las diferentes técnicas de corte macroscópico de tejidos de masas cutáneas y subcutáneas, así como de mastocitoma canino cutáneo y subcutáneo, y de sarcoma de tejidos blandos; entre los diferentes aspectos evaluados, se encuentran características morfológicas las cuales se evalúan por tinción de rutina de hematoxilina-eosina, y algunas características son evaluadas por medio de tinciones inmunohistoquímicas con fines tanto diagnósticos (principalmente para sarcomas de tejidos blandos), como pronósticos. Posteriormente se realiza una propuesta de protocolos basados en la revisión de literatura, para cortes macroscópicos de masas cutáneas y subcutáneas, evaluación diagnostica y pronostica de Mastocitoma cutáneo, y evaluación diagnóstica de sarcomas de tejidos blandos en caninos. dc.description.abstract | In human oncology studies, various studies have been carried out that focus on reducing the variation between pathologists in interobserver studies when evaluating neoplasms, to reduce subjectivity and generate results that can be reproduced in different studies and correlated with the patient's clinical features; However, in veterinary medicine, there are few studies that propose protocols for the evaluation of neoplasms that can be related to the prognosis of patients. These tumors include canine mast cell tumors, as well as soft tissue sarcoma. This work aims to propose evaluation protocols to contribute to the macroscopic and microscopic standardization of tumor evaluation in canines, conducting a literature review on the different techniques for gross trimming of cutaneous and subcutaneous tumors, as well as cutaneous canine mast cell tumors. and subcutaneous, and soft tissue sarcoma; Among the different aspects evaluated, there are morphological characteristics which are evaluated by routine hematoxylin-eosin staining, and some characteristics are evaluated by means of immunohistochemical stains for both diagnostic (mainly for soft tissue sarcomas) and prognostic purposes. Subsequently, a protocol proposal is made based on the literature review, for gross trimming cutaneous and subcutaneous tumors, diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of cutaneous mast cell tumors, and diagnostic evaluation of soft tissue sarcomas in canines. | eng |
